The Rise and Fall (Hopefully) of the Social Justice Warrior

Or how to take regular people and turn them into unthinking zealots

The claim that all language is inherently oppressive is one of the foundational beliefs of applied postmodernism and its offshoots, one of which is queer theory. So of course, not only do adherents of this ideology “queer” (which here means to twist or change) existing words, they also make up new words (neopronouns anyone?) and deliberately use them in an exclusionary manner, which serves the purpose of separating us into those who are “woke” and those who remain in dinosaur mode.

The front-line troops of this cult are social justice warriors (SJWs).

Depending which side of the canyon you are standing on, these are people who are engaged in, “The pursuit of fairness and equity in society, addressing systemic injustices and advocating for marginalized groups.” Or is it a cleverly designed role “to make radical political views sound non-political and virtuous”?

Who wants to stand up and declare they are opposed to justice? Who wants to defend injustice? This is why digging a bit deeper is necessary because advocating for “social justice " may mean very different things to different people. If you don’t agree with someone, does this automatically follow that one of you is in favor of injustice? From the woke viewpoint, the answer to this question is very often “yes”.

An infestation of SJWs is never beneficial

Why do I say this? Because those in the exhilarating thrall of social justice today are a dogmatic, exclusionary force for Orwellian compelled beliefs and speech. They are totally a “my way or the highway” social force, not open to honest debate or discussion. So vested are they in promoting their opinions as the only socially acceptable options, that even questions from sincere, befuddled people are met with scorn, derision and intense hostility. The playground bullies we all knew in school have morphed into a dynamic force for “good”, with the proviso that they are also the arbiters of the definitions of what constitutes a worthy endeavor.

In a world where there are real harms, injustices and tragedies every day, and where there is now an unprecedented focus on trauma and its prevention, our culture has chosen to focus on manufactured situations that reward not resilience, but discomfort, magnifying hurt feelings into mountains of purported wrongs that can only be managed by shaming others into a false compliance.

Couple this with a total dismissal of facts (that are now considered to be no more than another form of oppression) and most critical thinking disappears in a cloud of multicolored glitter. SJWs are experts at performative empathy but can often not empathize with the real-world results of their actions. They only see harms that they have labeled as such.

How can this have happened is a question that many have asked as they deal with government departments, institutions of learning and really, nearly everywhere in the Western world. When even doctors are being educated to believe that sex is only a concept that can be altered, not an embodied fact, we really have left reality behind.

Below I discuss how you can turn fact into fiction, become a keyboard warrior and justify and rationalize social media bullying.

How to flip your evidence-based organization to believing that unicorns are real in a few easy steps:

Identify the oppressor enemy. 

Because SJWs are against something, so always destructive (as opposed to trying to build something of value) they need to know who is not on their side.

This is how we get to the fantastical place where women as a sex are just an idea, a costume, a feeling or a belief, not a biological organism at all. Failing to agree with statements such as “not all birthing people are women”, “pregnant dads to be” and “some women have penises” will get you put into the enemy camp.

Rogue SJWs within La Leche League who are attempting to subvert the original purpose of La Leche League (to promote good mothering through breastfeeding) now contend that, if you don’t want to help (literally) “everyone” to “chestfeed” a baby with “human milk” you are a bigot and a transphobe.

Identify who is the oppressed

Who is the most “vulnerable” group you can find? Once that decision is made you give them absolute priority over everyone else. There never appears to be a shortfall of victims, underdogs, oppressed, marginalized or disadvantaged people to champion. Yet the plight of the neediest of all humans, by virtue of their extreme helplessness and vulnerability – young babies and their mothers – are somehow ignored.

Despite the fact that every baby on the planet since the dawn of time has emerged from the body of a natal woman, most birth and breastfeeding support groups now insist that their target audience must always include “men” (women who claim a male identity) and men (who claim a female identity). The “male” women often have no breasts, and the “female” men lack the physiology needed to get pregnant, give birth and breastfeed a baby.  Furthermore, supporting them also causes harms as it disrupts the essential mother/baby dyad because it also takes away the time and effort needed to give actual women the support they need and serves as a distraction from the purpose of the group.

Develop a story and materials to support the chosen groups oppression.

Construct the propaganda needed to support your cause that will appeal to the loyal protectors of your chosen group. This does not have to be true; it just needs to sound believable and have a sniff of plausibility.

The current position of La Leche League (that it supports “everyone” to breastfeed) appeals to those wedded to a notion of “inclusivity” that is false. If you were a man experiencing erectile dysfunction, would you really welcome some woman with a stitched-on phallus into your support group?  

Attract and build a community

No one is arguing about this. The problem is you want to trample over my rights as a woman.

SJWs are experts at connecting, grooming and trauma bonding with loyal adherents as all cult founders do. By collecting others who are made to feel extra special as they are taken into the inner sanctum of exclusive knowledge, they can easily increase their numbers and the effectiveness of the messaging. Acting as an “ally” to the cause becomes vital to the overall success of the enterprise.

Emotional appeals and moral superiority are foundational to this way of thinking. The last thing that the true believers are interested in are any actual facts especially if these interfere with the cause.

Unfortunately, some LLL Leaders have come to believe the story that mammals can change sex and these poor individuals are so oppressed that prioritizing them over women needing breastfeeding support is a valid option. The inconvenient fact that only biological women are physiologically equipped for breastfeeding and that even women can’t breastfeed if they’ve had their healthy breasts amputated is just ignored because it doesn’t align with the SJW story that has been created.

Probably because all Leaders are biological women, there are no shortage of allies to the trans/queer community. In no other place have I observed as much groveling obsequiousness as I have in various LLL Facebook pages where women are actually apologizing to the “rainbow/queer community” for their heterosexuality.

Funny how normaphobic some people can be.

I’m Not Transphobic, You Are Normaphobic

Publicly bully and ostracize any who fail to heed the message.

You didn’t get the memo that trans gendered folx are the most oppressed and vulnerable on the planet? You don’t believe that we are all born with some sort of gendered soul that may not align with our sexed bodies or that whoever “assigned at birth” our “gender” got it wrong? Well shame on you. You deserve every bit of public humiliation you get.   

Volunteer Leader numbers are dropping rapidly as those who remain committed to the Mission Statement are harassed out of their positions because they refuse to pretend that safeguarding women-only places to breastfeed are not necessary to preserve the mother/baby dyad.

Marian Tompson, who is the only LLL Founder still actively involved and who is now in her mid 90s, has been told it doesn’t matter what she thinks as she will be dead soon and that if she wants to work for a breastfeeding support group that only caters to mothers, she should go start one herself. Irony has clearly left the building, replaced by abusive bullying.

 Hierarchy is a social order that wants to be preserved

Even a sketchy knowledge of history should demonstrate that a hierarchy is a social order vested in preservation. I mean, patriarchy anyone?

As Lord Acton memorably stated in 1887: "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” Coupled with “Power is the ultimate aphrodisiac” (Henry Kissinger, who knew a bit about power), it is easy to see that the heady aroma of power is a persuasive and influential factor in the lives of SJWs.

Tirelessly working to bring about a just world, SJWs become trapped in the idea of their own importance and ultimately, they who are fighting against “Oppression” take up this mantle themselves and morph into being what they say they are against: oppressors. A self-conception as a savior only works if you have a compliant audience and so many SJWs fail to realize that they are also subject to corruption, virtue signaling, attention seeking behavior that defaults right back to where they started.

Many SJWs seem to feel that they have been chosen for greatness, but failing to realize that real justice arises through building up, not tearing down is just a false flag operation that serves no one well.
